Francesco Laverda d\u00e9cida de produire un mod\u00e8le sport qui se d\u00e9marquait de la Turismo par un \u00e9quipement sportif, un meilleur freinage et un travail&nbsp; important sur le moteur (taux de compression plus \u00e9lev\u00e9, carburateur plus gros, nouvel \u00e9chappement). Toutes ces modifications permirent \u00e0 cette machine d&rsquo;atteindre la vitesse de 85 km\/h en position couch\u00e9e.
